OPEN CLASS ROOTS Teacher Gathering 2020

 I’m happy to organize, participate, and travel to Munich for the third year in a row for the 2020 Bowspring Teacher Gathering. The cold air in Munich in January is a great inspiration, a total sensitizing experience as we wake up our winter practice.  

My Saturday open class is The Roots Level 2 (Workshop). 10 - 12.30 h A liquid is a state of material without a particular form: it changes easily and is defined by the container that it’s in. Instead of creating a fixed form, let’s journey into flowing with the body-mind-heart alongside the naturalness of the Bowspring practice. This way, through opening, we can’t help but reprogram and overcome any difficulties we encounter. The nature of the Bowspring is to transform the body-mind. With this as our basis, we will explore the Roots Basic sequence that is composed of 55 poses divided in 6 sets. Together we will talk about how to flow with dynamic, natural vitality in a Level 2 class. All levels are welcome: only bring an open mind and a willingness to learn something new.

My Sunday open class is The Roots Level 2-3 from 9 - 11h: the complete Roots sequence, including advanced forms, as 95 poses divided in 8 sets. Observing the movement of Bowspring in our body-minds, we learn to be faithful to what we feel inside, to communicate ourselves with ease, to respectfully accept others, to be loving and receptive. Sensitivity is the hallmark of the advanced practice. The body is tuned to be a medium where the Bowspring, our natural form, can come alive. Within each movement the goal is to elevate vital energy in a yin-yang pulse. An apparent weakness can be made into a strength the way an insignificant drop can erode the hardest of rock. In this Roots class you will discover a unique set of new transformations that have been created to give your body the chance to go beyond your limits.
